About Me
I’m Dr. K. Skye Henry Smith. That’s a mouthful, I know :). Please call me Skye. I’m in my 50s, so I’ve learned a thing or two about life. I’ve wifed, I’ve mothered, I’ve stayed at home and I’ve careered. I’ve loved, I’ve left, I’ve been left… really, just picture all the things. I’m just as human as the next person. But here’s what I love about my life: I’ve made the investment in myself to have both the clarity about what I want and the agency to get there.
These days, I love spending time with my ex-husband and our two emerging adult children, partnering with my boyfriend, being a pet mom to my dogs, Dillon and Oakley, seeking new educational opportunities, and taking every opportunity I can find to make meaning and create richness in my life.
The Credentials
- I’ve earned a Master’s Degree
- I’ve earned a PhD from one of only 2 Accredited programs in the country offering a Doctorate in Human Sexuality)
- I’ve taught about Sexuality and Relationships at the university level
- I’ve presented in front of big and small audiences
- I’ve obtained AASECT certification
- I’m EMDR Certified
- I’ve completed level one IFS training soon to start level two (IFIO- IFS for relationships)
- I’m a Level Two trained in Assessing and Treating Sex Issues in Psychotherapy (ATSIP)
